LIFE LESSONS

Nobody would ever know it by looking at this picture…a few weeks before this moment, my friend (next to me with that beautiful cheesy smile) found out life changing news. I would love to let you in on that information, but it is his experience to tell, not mine. Today, I was blessed to have the opportunity to have lunch with him and another friend. This 27 year old has taught me so much about life and resiliency. He has reminded me of the importance of laughter (sometimes through wonderfully dark humor). He showed me the healing aspect of just being present with another person during difficulties -not trying to fix or change anything-just simply being with that person in that space. He reminded me of the healing power of music and how music can communicate our inner most feelings. He reminded me of the importance of living life and to never take it for granted. Thank you Josh, for all you taught me, and all of the reminders of what is important in life. Love, LJ
